BEFORE YOU BUY

A good fix
starts with a good fit.

Cabinet legs and kickboards vary. Check these three details before choosing a magnetic fixing.

Cabinet leg shape & diameter

The concept is designed around a cylindrical cabinet leg. The supported diameter range and compatible leg profiles are still being verified. Do not assume a universal fit.

Panel material & plate fixing

The magnet connects to a ferromagnetic steel mating plate, not directly to a timber kickboard. Plate fixings and screw lengths must suit the material and thickness of the panel. Final fixings are to be confirmed.

Clearance & clip spacing

Allow room between the leg and the rear of the panel for the clip and plate to align. Clip spacing and the number needed depend on panel dimensions, weight and tested retention. No coverage per pack is specified yet.

Fit dimensions and holding strength will be published after physical testing. The images on this site are concept renders.

THE USEFUL DETAILS

A few things
you might be wondering.

What is a kitchen plinth?

The plinth, also called a kickboard or toe kick, is the panel that covers the gap between the bottom of the cabinets and the floor. PlinthFix is intended to connect that removable panel to the cabinet legs.

Does the magnet attach directly to the kickboard?

No. A steel mating plate is fixed to the rear of the kickboard. The magnet in the leg-mounted clip connects to that plate.

Do I need tools to install it?

The body is intended to snap around a compatible leg. The mating plate still needs a suitable fixing to the kickboard, so tools may be needed. Final installation instructions and included fixings are to be confirmed.

Will it work with my existing kitchen?

That depends on the cabinet leg, panel and clearance. The concept may suit an upgrade to an existing installation, but compatibility cannot be confirmed until the fit dimensions and supported leg profiles are published.

How many clips will I need?

The final number and spacing must be established for the size and weight of your panel. The 2, 6 and 12-pair packs shown are proposed pack options, not verified coverage recommendations.
